| So you sick
of banging your head on the on the edge of the tailgate door as you
unload the weekly shopping!
All you need to do is replace the tailgate lifting struts. Over time the seals inside these struts wear out and the pistons lifting power is reduced - hence, the tailgate door slowly drops and before you know it you lift your head and 'bang' it's got you again. |

Fitting instructions The
tailgate struts are held in place by a clip at each end.
Open the tailgate to reveal the struts you are replacing. Using a flat bladed screwdriver, gently prise the retaining clip up and slide it towards the end of the strut. It is
not essential to remove the retaining clips altogether but you may find it
easier if you do. (As shown in the picture below) Repeat
this process for the retaining clip on the other end of the strut. After
you have removed the retaining clips from each end of the strut simply pull the
strut away from the tailgate. Note.
The tailgate is very heavy;’ please take great care when removing the strut so
not to injure yourself. Once
removed release the clips supplied with the new strut, position the new strut
onto the tailgate. There
are small grooves at each end of the struts; these are to slide the retaining
clips down into position. Now
you have to slide the retaining clip back into position, the strut is now locked
into place Any questions email or call: 07710359319 |
