If your computer is using Microsoft Windows 98 or Windows XP you must make sure you have the following two upgrades installed before attempting to run the Range Rover diagnostic software.

Windows Service Pack 2

Microsoft.Net Framework -version 2

Both of these upgrades are available FREE of CHARGE and are available from the Microsoft website, I have included links to them at the bottom of this page.


The first stage is to check to see if you are running Windows Service Pack 2:

Open My Computer

Select Help

Select About Windows

This will tell you which version of Windows you are currently using.

You are looking for something like this below, can you see it says Service Pack 2

If you are running Windows Service Pack 2

You can now go ahead and load up Microsoft.Net Framework version 2

Click on the link below: Microsoft.net version 2 - then select DOWNLOAD -then select RUN


If you are not running Windows Service Pack 2

You must first install Windows XP Service Pack 2 and then install Microsoft.net Framework version 2

Click on the link below: Windows XP Service Pack 2–then select DOWNLOAD – then select RUN

Once Windows Service Pack 2 has finished loading:

You can go ahead and load up Microsoft.net Framework version 2

Click on the link below: Microsoft.net version 2 - then select DOWNLOAD - then select RUN
