Range Rover Alarm - Ultrasonic Sensor Module

One of the most common failings with the Range Rover alarm system is the Ultrasonic Alarm Sensor Module.

For no apparent reason these sensors just stop working, if you have 'ALARM FAULT' message displayed on your dashboard we are confident this sensor is the cause.

As you can see from the pictures, fitting a replacement is very easy and this process can be carried out in under 60 seconds, no mechanical experience is necessary and no tools are required.

The location of the sensor is in the interior roof lining, just between the front & rear passenger doors as shown in the 'upper image'.

To release the sensor from the roof you simply grasp it in your hand and lightly pull it away from the roof, then you unplug the cable and plug it back into the new sensor. The sensor is then ready to pushed back into the gap in the roof lining.

You should now lock and then unlock the vehicle, start the engine and that annoying 'ALARM FAULT' message should be gone.
